CaterBuild delivered the refurbishment of Sofitel Wentworth Sydney’s Level 2 restaurant kitchen, Level 5 main production kitchen, and three bars. Working within a live CBD hotel presented major access and logistical challenges. A low-airflow mechanical system was engineered to navigate restricted duct routes, while a Mibrasa charcoal grill required a custom filtration and misting canopy. Italian-made Mareno cooking equipment involved long lead times and precise coordination. Equipment and stainless-steel assemblies were craned to Level 5 for installation. The result was a polished, high-performance kitchen and bar environment that set a benchmark for CaterBuild’s capability in complex hospitality refurbishments.
